Computer Training Course Outline
Week 1 - (1 hour) Introduction:
- Analyze how you wish to use your computer
- Turn the computer on and off safely
- Opening and using programs
Week 2 - (1 hour) Getting to know Windows:
- Using Windows Explorer to find your files
- Install and uninstall software
- Organising files and folders
- Customise your desktop
Week 3 - (1 hour) Getting to know your software:
- Creating editing and saving documents
- Using Internet Explorer to find information on the Internet
- Using Outlook to send and receive email's
- Setup an online email account
Week 4 - (1 hour) Security and Hardware:
- Personal Computer security and security software
- Computer terminology
- Working with digital cameras, printers and scanner
Schedule*
Monday to Friday (1 or 2 nights per week starting at any of the following times*)
- 6pm to 7pm or
- 7pm to 8pm or
- 8pm to 9pm or
- 9pm to 10pm
Saturday
- 10am to 11am or
- 11am to 12pm
